The Take

One of the few rare scenes when I didn't feel scared of or disturbed by Freddie.

This screencap is also a misleading image of Freddie. No, whatever it is you imagine Freddie's character might be like from looking at this picture is wrong. lol.

What I generally felt while watching "The Take" was how freaking upsetting Freddie was. One moment he'd be giving the cutest smile, and my brain would go like, "tomhardyyy<3<3<3", the next moment he'd be a cold-blooded psychotic bastard.

Spoiler.

I didn't know what to think when Freddie said he loved little Jimmy, and later got very upset by his death. Like, really!? How dare you say that when you don't care for your other children!? But then, these moments gave me the chance to properly swoon at Tom's face, because Freddie was most humane during these scenes. Ahem.

I found it appropriate that Freddie should die in front of the two women whose lives became a mess because of him. I actually felt relieved when he did. That's how much he disturbed me.

It was great that Maggie was finally expecting a child with Jimmy, but I can't help being bothered by the fact that it only finally happened when Jimmy "became a man", as in he started killing his enemies cold-bloodedly, if you know what I mean.

End of Spoiler.

I was on the IMDb and saw that Shaun Evans (Jimmy in "The Take") was in "The Virgin Queen" too and my brain was like, "HE WAS!?" Well, that's a surprise. I'll take notice if I should watch it again.
